Egyptian opposition figure Ahmed Douma freed after presidential pardon
Authorities released on August 19 prominent activist Ahmed Douma from a prison complex outside Cairo where he was serving a 15-year sentence after being convicted of taking part in clashes between protesters and security forces in the Egyptian capital in December 2011.
